Available All Wheel Drive System
Driving in bad weather can be downright unnerving. But don't worry. Edge offers available All-Wheel Drive. AWD doesn't just react to wheel slippage when it occurs. It predicts traction and automatically delivers the precise and proper amount of engine torque to all of the wheels even before slippage occurs. Working with the standard AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™ system, AWD can transfer torque from front to rear and side to side. While all this is going on, you don't have to think about it. That's peace of mind.

Agile Handling
Edge's independent front and rear suspension delivers a fun-to-drive, sports sedan-like ride, so you can take on even the trickiest turns with confidence. What's more, rear shocks are mounted outboard and behind the wheels for extra driving comfort and control. And with the added bonus of four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, you can count on ultra-confident stopping power.

22" Wheels and Sport Suspension
Just looking at the new Edge Sport with its uniquely bold styling and 20" aluminum wheels, you'd be inclined to think this is the ultimate in Edge handling. And you'd be close. But there is another level of Edge sport handling: 22" bright polished aluminum wheels mounted on low-profile Pirelli tires. If you're really into handling, this is definitely the way to go.

Voice Activated Navigation System
The optional voice-activated Navigation System provides many navigational features including detailed freeway exit, turn and ramp transition lane guidance; street name announcement; "Where am I?" current location display. Also part of the system is a 10GB hard drive for storing photos, ripping CDs, and managing music with the Jukebox function. And there's the greater wealth of travel information the SIRIUS® Travel Link™ service provides,* such as real-time travel and weather conditions plus lowest fuel prices. Available Edge entertainment systems provide a standard MP3 audio input jack and available USB port. Simply plug in your MP3 player and you can listen to your entire MP3 library through the vehicle's sound system.

Top Safety Pick
The beauty of the Edge goes beyond its exterior. At the heart of this crossover is a reinforced steel cage, part of the structural design to help manage energy in the event of a collision. Anti-lock brakes help deliver confident stopping power. Safety Canopy with Roll Over Sensor

Personal Safety System
The Personal Safety System® is a suite of standard safety features that includes dual-stage driver and front passenger airbags, a driver's seat position sensor, front safety belt usage sensors, front safety belt pretensioners and energy management retractors, a Front Passenger Sensing System, and a crash severity sensor.

LATCH System
Edge features Lower Anchors and Tether anchors for CHildren (LATCH) - a set of rigid metal anchor bars designed to work with LATCH-compatible child safety seats. LATCH eliminates the need to use the vehicle's safety belts to install a child safety seat. It provides a secure attachment.

SecuriLock Anti-Theft System
The SecuriLock® Passive Anti-Theft System is designed to prevent your engine from starting unless the correct key is used. The electronically encoded ignition key activates a specially designed transponder located inside the vehicle. The system disarms whenever the correct key is inserted into the ignition, and automatically re-arms when it's removed.

SOS Post Crash Alert System
The new SOS Post-Crash Alert System* is the latest addition to Ford Edge's already long list of standard safety features. This post-accident distress system continuously flashes the hazard lights and sounds the horn.
*SOS activates on airbag deployment or safety belt pretensioner activation. SOS hardware may become damaged or the battery may lose power in a crash, which could prevent operation. Not all crashes will activate an airbag or safety belt pretensioner.

Panoramic Vista Roof Option
The available panoramic Vista Roof™ features a large forward panel that tilts up or opens fully, plus a fixed rear skylight.
