Seating for 6 or 7
Taurus X comes with standard seating for six adult-size passengers - two in each of the three rows. If you want your Taurus X with maximum 7-passenger seating, order the available 3-passenger 60/40 split 2nd-row seat. This seat is especially versatile because you can carry extra cargo and accommodate either one or two passengers depending on which seat back is lowered.
Best in Class Cargo Space
Fold down the 2nd- and 3rd-row seats plus the front passenger seat back; those extra long items over 10 ft. you couldn't transport before - not a problem now in the Taurus X.
Fold Flat Passenger Seat Back
When the need to carry lots of things takes complete priority, fold down the 2nd- and 3rd-row seats flat and your Taurus X satisfies your needs with a generous 85.5 cu. ft. of cargo space behind the 1st-row seats - that's more than any other full-size crossover provides.
Rated Safest 7 Passenger Crossover
What does it take to earn the distinction of being rated the safest 7-passenger crossover in America? It takes earning full 5-star crash test ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).* It also takes achieving the designation of "Top Safety Pick" from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). When you consider how well Taurus X is designed, built, and equipped for safety, chances are you won't want any other full-size crossover for your family.
*Star ratings are part of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation's Safercar.gov Program (www.safercar.gov).
NHTSA 5 Star Safety
With its strong body design and impressive list of passive safety features, the Taurus X has earned the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) highest 5-star rating for not only the front crash test (driver and passenger) but also the side crash test (front and rear outboard passengers). That's complete 5-star protection. Star ratings are part of the U.S. Dept. of Transportation's Safercar.gov Program (www.safercar.gov).
IIHS "Top Safety Pick"
Being named the "Top Safety Pick" by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) isn't like getting your name picked out of a hat. It's a distinction that must be earned. Taurus X achieved the highest ratings in all three IIHS categories: a 40-mph frontal offset crash test that assesses structural design; a side-impact crash test that simulates getting struck by an SUV or pickup truck; and a rear crash-protection test that focuses on whiplash prevention. IIHS criteria for "Top Safety Pick" are quite demanding. And Taurus X, equipped with numerous safety features including standard AdvanceTrac® Electronic Stability Control System, is more than up to the challenge.
Safety Features Standard
